Jade is one of my favorite stones to work with and is treasured in many cultures as a stone of harmony, fidelity and dreams.
It's believed that jade can not only help improve the remembering of one's dreams, but also to help the dreamer release suppressed emotions during the dream process. In the Mayan culture, Jade was held as the "Sovereign of Harmony" and was believed to promote peace in all aspects of one's life.
This 8.6" (22 cm) gemstone bracelet is finished off with a matching toggle clasp, creating the perfect accent piece for whether you want to dress up a casual outfit or accent an elegant ensemble.
The first finished piece of a series of beaded necklaces and chokers in creation using vintage brooches as the focal point on the piece.
The 1.8" (46 mm) brooch in this piece is a vintage piece picked up at a local thrift shop. It had all of its rhinestones (which is extremely rare for vintage pieces!) but was missing the pin on the back. It's now been re-purposed as a shimmering snowflake pendant for this icy blue handmade necklace.
This item is a unique OOAK (One of a Kind) piece.
The lobster claw clasp at the nape hooks to a chain that allows this necklace to be adjusted between 15.5" - 18.5" in length (39 cm - 47 cm). This means it can be worn tight enough to be a choker or a little longer to lie against the chest while a small matching beaded bauble at the end of the chain gives an extra bit of decorative touch.
I've noticed lately that I've named a great number of my pieces after food. Sweet, succulent and rich foods that bring to mind not just flavors but colors. This handmade beaded lanyard is another one of those with raspberry red beads combined with creamy pearls on a strand of white.
Here where I live, the harvests are in full swing and berries are a theme nearly everywhere you go. In recognition of that, beads in raspberry shades and glass pearls in a soft shade of cream are combined on a strand of white with a hint of gold accents in this stylish badge lanyard with a convenient 1 cm ring at the end.

Silvery spacers shimmer in this handmade eyeglass chain decorated with dusky purple glass beads, silver plated sun and moon accents and spiral designed disks. The coins in this piece are two-faced. The sun smiles on one side, the moon on the other!
If you're like me, finding your reading glasses when you need them can often be a timely activity.
